help!!my stairs on the sims?

help! im gonna go mad. ok, at first, one of my stairs that came with the mansion was not working 4 a while. i mean, nobody could go up or down the stairs. i tried to sell it, move it, anything! but it kept saying cant use/move object or something like that. so i bought a new staircase. the problem with that stairs was that i accidently put it before my bedroom and now nobody can get in the bedroom. all of a frigging sudden, the stairs that came with the mansion can now move, and the new one i bought cant. im going freaking insane and im about 2 quit the game. please help me! by the way, hand tool doesnt work or anything. tried that. also, im playing the first sims from the sims deluxe edition. thanx.

I think the reason you couldn't get rid of the first staircase was because you directed you sims to use them, and you can't delete anything "in use". Now that you can move the first staircase, I would temporarily delete it.
As for the 2nd staircase, wait until that is no longer in use, and then delete that as well.
It may be that your placement of the stairs in the mansion isn't optimal. Find where there will be plenty of room to get around the stairs before adding them back in. Good luck.

is there some thing interior the way of the steps? up or down? it really is the in effortless words element i'm able to imagine of. until eventually you position the steps on genuine of a few thing without understanding. bear in thoughts that toddlers can not pass upstairs.

well...sounds like it doesnt work...i would back up everything....and reinstall...or have you tried the file cop from the sims website? maybe it will find an error and fix it...

best thing you can do by the sound of it is uninstall and then re install your game will lose all you saved games but.
if it was me thats what i would do!
