Bottom right should be Security Center

Go to start, control panel, look for Surity Center. If it says firewall is on, click on it and select turn off.
You should see:
Firewall on.
Automatic update on
Anti virus ON...
Click on firewall and turn it off. Good luck

try switching to classic view if you don't see it. it will be on the upper left side to switch this. also the security center has a link it for the firewall.

Its located under the security icon. Double click on the Security center icon.

if you dont have service pack 2 (sp2) you wont have the security centre or firewall, download sp2 from microsoft or www.softwarepatch.com and install it and you will have these items

it is "security center" icon
or you can switch to "classic view" from the left sidebar to it
