The Bottle nose dolphin has no natural predators. However, humans kill many all the time, mainly by pollution and the fishing industry, and a group of sharks may occasionally go for a young one or a separated sick dolphin, though under normal circumstances will avoid them.

A shark can eat a dolphin if the dolphin is alone. If the dolphin is in a group it has better chances of protecting itself
