ok, so the Geek Squad has this application so you can talk to an agent online. Well, i asked a toatal of FIVE questions. They were simple, yes or no questions. I think that they are overpriced. Because they wanted me to pay $159 for something that was as easy as pressing 5 buttons, i'm not lying. This application was supposed to get you through problems you might have, but instead, they banned me for asking 5 questions. SIMPLE questions too. i wasn't asking for free tech support, just yes or no answers. My question is, do you think they are overpriced? I'm mad that everytime i asked a question, they tried to get me to pay some ridiculous amount of money. The worst part is, I HAD THEM TO MY HOUSE 2 TIMES ALREADY. you think they'd have cheaper serivice...

they are very overpriced and the people they have working there either could not get a real corporate job or they are too scared to start their own business. You are not getting the smartest people when you hire these types of places. You best bet if you need help is to get a recommendation from someone or find someone who owns their own business and does their own work. Usually they are from the corporate world with a ton of training and know how to solve problems.

In a FREE market, 'caveat emptor'!

The Geek Squad Corporation was just sued for theft and use of proprietary troubleshooting software, without license.

And, as far as the multiple convicted FELON and Pirate Microsoft, here are more of their lies:
"People who sell PCs have seen a very nice lift in their sales. People have come in and wanted to buy Vista," Gates told reporters at an Ottawa news conference.

Vista sales have flatlined and are discussed as below 2.9%
of all computer sales, in the 'trade pubs'.

The two kinds of Vista users will be those who buy it with their computer, and those who switch in five years, having ignored the multitude of marvelous and secure, virus immune alternatives, such as http://pclinuxos.com and 309 others, at http://livecdlist.com

84% of all Internet servers, plus the Fortune 1,000 corporations, along with the school Boards of 39 states, and 165 nations, all run Open Source *BSD and/or GNU/Linux.

You really should try some, it is FREE and you can always go back, if you aren't in the mood to become truly competent.

Guess you are finding out what everyone else already knows ...geek squad is a waste of coin. Most don't have the certification needed to be a burger flipper let alone a technician.
