Nope, you can get pregnant the first month off of it.

They say if you have been on the pill for a long time it can take up to a year to conceive but that was certainly not the case with me, i got pregnant within the first two months of trying and not even sure how that can be true as everyone is different...you just keep trying! Good luck x

With this pregnancy I was on the pill for about 6 years and got pregnant the 3rd month after stopping.
With my second child I had been on the pill about 5 years and I think I got pregnant within 1-2 months after stopping. So I think its just all about timing and knowing your body/cycle better.

Coming off the pill can cause problems with short-term fertility in some women. This is because it can stop you ovulating for a while and take some time for your normal cycle to return.

80% of women who come off the pill ovulate within 3 months and 95% within 6 months.

If you are having normal periods again then the pill is out of your system and any problems with conceiving are unrelated.

I think if you read the instructions in the pill packet it does have a time it takes to fully be out of ur system. My husband and i were very lucky and it only took a month for us to get pregnant after I stopped my pill.

It might take a few months to get your system back on track, but not necessarily; I got pregnant 6 weeks after coming off the pill.

My daugher-in-law just called me today telling me she is pregnant even though she has been taking the pill for 5 months now. her youngest child is 8 months old!!! She is shocked. So, to answer your question, you can get pregnant pretty quick. I took the pill for many years and quit taking it to get pregnant and was pregnant within one month.
Good luck!!!

With any birth control, there is always the risk of still getting pregnant...

Nothing is 100%, so even with the pill you have a chance of getting pregnant...

i think they say it takes six months to a year to get out of your system. but i had the depo injection and that is supposed to take the same amount of time and i got pregnant within three months so you can never tell.

Just quit and you'll have a baby.
