I have a lapdesk that has a wooden top and a bean bag like bottom - Keeps my legs/lap from getting hot and from having the laptop in direct contact. I have used a laptop through 2 pregnancies and have beautiful bright boys with no issues.

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and also use my laptop for hours up hours a day, with it resting on my legs/lap. Am also curious to find out if it could harm the baby. Good question indeed - although I have never heard of any such reports and no one in my work place seems to mention anything to me about using it in this way....and most of the women, if not all of them here have children!

Perhaps I will interrogate someone on your behalf and give you some more feedback later. You have me concerned now! Lol.

Good Luck! :o)

There shouldn't bee any danger because you don't have it on your stomach or anything. It's only on your legs. Of course a long period of time with the lap-top on your legs isn't very good either, so remember to take breaks. The baby should be fine, it shouldn't harm it in any way.

Any potential harm would be from heat. A laptop placed on your lap is not going to overheat your uterus.
