I am doing a report for history, and honestly, I'm not really sure if she was or not. Figured it would be better to look stupid here rather than in front of the class... can you help?

Betty Friedan was a white jewish woman who turned the whole idea of women and sexuality on upside down when she published her book, "The Feminine Mystique". Up until this point many people denied that woman had any desires or that they had much to do with sexuality. It was assumed that men were the only ones who could enjoy sex. Women were ignorant of their own bodies and were never encouraged to learn anything about them.
