Today when i was walking on the eliptical I had to hang my left hand down and shake it. It felt like it was asleep from gripping the handle. Also the fatty part of my hand around my thumb has been tender for months. I dont have much strength in my hand anymore. But the numbness is fairly new. I noticed my leg will do it to sometimes too. Could this be heart related? I just saw the doctor and it wasnt doing it at the time of course, but i had alot of blood work done. My CT score was 24 which is suppose to be around 4, this test shows inflamation around the heart. Atleast i think its called CT. I have also been experiencing alot of gas lately in my back (right side) and yesterday it felt like my inside were going to fall out. I know to much information :O) Anyhow I would appreciate any help with this.

Is it more so in the morning? Are you right or left handed?

I usually can't grip with my left hand in the morning after getting up (I'm right handed). It seemed to have stopped since I starting seeing a chiropractor. Your condition could be the same, just more severe. If your spinal column is out of alignment it could be affecting your nerve cord. Your nerves could be affecting your heart, causing it to swell - besides I think it's the right side that indicates heart problems (I'm not totally sure about that).

Anyway, It could never hurt to get chiropractic therapy, even if that isn't the reason.

Welcome to the world of carpel tunnel. Look on webmd.com and see the signs and symptoms of carpel tunnel. I do not believe your hand problems are not related to the other issues you are experiencing. It sure sucks getting older.

Good luck!
