You know...I don't know if he is anything like Saddam, only time will tell. However I really don't like the manner in which he is not running his country...yes, i said not. If he does not want the U.S in Iraq any-longer then all he has to do is make it so. (showing up to work for instance, requiring his police and army forces to nut up and do their jobs by not standing behind our soldiers backs. Its their country and we are fighting their civil war now. If Maliki is serious about changing Iraq then he needs to act like the new commander in chief.

Dr. O - you are reaching for an all time low, in your attempt to assert that Maliki is comparable to Saddam. If anything that I find questionable about the Iraqi government and Maliki in particular. Is the inability for the government to sustain itself, to give way to the majority of Iraqis to in essence to trust themselves and decisions they made over the course of events. When the majority of brave Iraqis made the decision to form a new government, hopefully they took into consideration that it would be met with intense opposition within their own community.

Do you have some facts to back up that question? I'd sure love to read them. I don't think he is. I believe he's doing his best, and when we think about it, how would any new president in this country act in his position?
