Youngsters start smoking because they think its necessary to be part of the in crowd. Sadly though, many people have died, because they became addicted when they were young, smoked all their lives, and have died prematurely as a result.
Smoking is NOT cool.
It robs people of their families.
Both my parents died prematurely from smoking related illnesses.
My mum was 49 and my dad 59.
As a result, I have never smoked and neither has my sister.
I don't even like being around the smell of smoke.

Of coarse it's not. Most smokers hate the fact that they're smokers. I have a younger sister in high school and I was in high school as well a few years back and I've never seen it being treated as something cool. I know it use to be, I think times are changing...for the better.

Smoking was always considered "cool" because it was a form of rebellion (against teachers, parents etc) and if the government go ahead and ban it in July it will become even more so.

No smoking is anything BUT cool. It is highly addictive and disgusting, not to mention the fact that it will make you die a slow and painful death at a younger age than you should!

it was cool until I found while I was in my PE class that I couldnt breathe as I did before... and I was getting really tired.
I was really young 15 years old I did it for about 6 months and now im 20 and 5 years since I ended that stupid habit.

i dont think smoking is cool. But if someone wants to come home and smoke a cigarette they should be aloud to, thats what makes this country great

It was cool when Hollywood was promoting stars like hot cakes, and they all held cigarettes so fine and everything was just peachy.
Today, knowing what we know, it's like asking to die.
And those who blow smoke in your face should be aware of what they are doing.

i smoked a cigar on my 18th birthday with my other 18 year old friends. it was tight
