I'm pretty hard on shoes and wear them WAYbeyond when they should be worn.

My main pair I can wear about 4 months. I usually have a pair of grubby tennies that I will wear a summer, I have a pair of tennies I only wear indoors, they last 3 years. I have boots that last about 6 months. Then I have a variety of specialty shoes that last are for a specific purpose or outfit (black silk slings) or activity (bowling) that last indefinitely.

Price seems a good indicator of life time, I have some which lasted 1 semester, I had some that lasted 3 years. It depends what brand and kind of shoe they are.
