Age really doesn't matter when it's your time to start. It has to do with when the body is ready. Some people start earlier than 13, some don't start until later. Don't sweat it. Often you can get an idea when you might start by asking your mom when she started.
Believe me, once it happens there is no going back and I'm here to tell you that it becomes a giant inconvenience after a few years!

not all girls start their periods at the same time even if the are the same age. It depends on the person, growth, and can sometimes be determined by when the mother started their period. It is different from every person. Be glad that you havent started yet. You may want to start now but once you have, youll wish you never had it.

Everyone's body matures differently. When I was twelve My friend developed later than I did, even though we were close in age. In fact she didn't get her menstruation until she was 14. This is not a big problem, just be glad you don't have to deal with a period yet. Believe me it is not so great. Some Women get really bad cramps, and their periods last for more than 5 days. Don't rush into adult hood, enjoy your youth. Don't worry it will happen for you soon enough.
