I have a computer that when it starts up it will go to the Windows loading screen, then shut off?

hmm If i were in your case i would go into the bios and check to see if the settings are correct. then i would get online with another pc, download free AVG, create the scan disks with it on floppy disks then boot from the newly created floppy disks and scan the system. last step i would take would be to go into safe mode upon boot up and check the device manager list and the msconfig startup list for conflicts and or problems.
