I have just opened a photobox gallery which enables me to post my photos and let people buy them in various forms. How can I promote it (for free) so that I can possibly get some customers?

make some business cards and do the photography club circuit.
Enter lots of photography competitions to get the free exposure.
Most of the contests are free or low cost to enter. When you register incorporate your web address in the entrance information.
If you make a web site, log into www.paypal.com and add a length so that you can accept paypal payments online.
If you can go to flea markets, consider renting a booth and take some of your best matted prints to the booth with you.
Host an exhibit. In our town quite a few galleries host exhibits where artist can show off their wares. You can team up with another artist and split the rent for the evening.

List your picture online with a copyprotection thing so that people cant just print your pictures from the website for free....
also could you link it here so we can see them if this is not a violation of the yahoo rules?

GOOD LUCK!

This is an age old problem, because even though you are using the latest technology and have your portfolio on a web site, how do get people to look at it? Apart from paying a lot of money to get your web site at the front of search engine listings (which will still only attract people who are actively searching for your product), you will have to rely on the old tried and tested methods of getting your name or web site out there and known e.g. ads in appropriate mags., leaflets etc...etc..
Now there are a few sites which specialise in photographers needs, such as CLIKPIC and other more commercially oriented sites. There are also the stock photo agency sites, some which are now all web based. But your work must be of the highest quality before they will even look at you. I'm not sure if I would use PHOTOBOX myself in this context but I am no expert either and suffer some similar problems as you do.
I wish you good luck and if you find a successful method, let me know!

If you make informed decisions and approach your penny stock investments with the same thoroughness that you’d use in your other investments, you too can unlock a whole lot of profit potential. Learn here https://tr.im/WtGM4

It’s absolutely true that penny stock investors can make very quick gains. Synutra International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYUT) is a great example of a penny stock. This dairy-based, nutritional-products company has jumped from a little Bulletin Board operation to a billion dollar corporation. The company finally graduated from Over-the-Counter status to the NASDAQ Stock Market bringing with it 113% gains in less than two months.

This happens all the time and it’s how some of the best investors in the world became the richest investors in the world. Buying some shares for pennies on the dollar and selling at $10 or $20 is possibly the fastest way from being a hobby investor to a super investor

you can post a free business profile on http://tradersreview.co.uk and place up to 5 images, stitch your images together 4/6/9 and then watermark them so you can get more images on the profile. Dont' worry about the listing fees, drop me a line on the site and I will wave the fees for you, don't forget to mention yahoo answers.

all I ask in return is that you help us with our community directory and list some of local none profit organisations local charities...again this is free for them.

Anyone else want to list their business and help us at the same time, can have the same offer.

Watch out soon we have a great classifieds section coming soon, and it's going to be free if the item your selling is less than £50.00

Try www.zazzle.com. Its a pretty cool site where you can get prints and/or t-shirts made of your art. No cost to creat a gallery. Anyone who sees your work has the option of buying a print or a tee shirt (with the proceeds going to you, less a small commission for zazzle). Check it out.

First you need your own website. Also you need to get traffic to your site.
