Well Charlie i arm wrestled competitively in the Army some 10 years ago or so, but i had no formal training per say all my speed and strength came from High school football and wrestling, so my knowledge of the training that will be required for just arm wrestling might not help. below are some sites that should get you on the right track....good luck.

Strengthen your forearms and biceps. Those need the most focus. Also make sure they're strengthened for good endurance.
Hold weight in your hand and rest your elbow, it'll look like you're doing an arm curl, palm facing up. Try to bend your wrist, lifing the weight up. This should help forearms.
To properly armwrestle, you actually want to pull the other person's arm toward you, not push sideways like most people think. It kills people when they try to go sideways and you pull toward you; they quickly lose leverage. The pros do this I think (pull toward), which is why you need to have a strong biceps.

with the exception of understanding and practise, you would pick to locate ordinary strategies to guage your opponent and the leverage mandatory. I dont comprehend some thing about arm wrestling, yet im positive you could search for on the internet and locate a mess of advice. reliable success!
