It's not really a question of cutting anything out - all food has calories. However, if you moderate the portion size, then you can lose weight.

Recent research (published last week) debunked all the fad diets. It turns out that what dieticians have been saying for years is true - if you consume more calories than you burn in a day, then you gain weight; if you consume less than you burn, they you lose weight.

A pound of fat = 3500 calories; you want to aim to eat 7000 calories a week LESS than you burn by exercise and daily activities - you will then lose 2 pounds a week, which is considered a safe rate at which to lose weight.

They say the one of the things that helps a person lose weight is if he cuts sugary soda pop from his diet completely.

its definitley not about what you dont eat that makes you lose weight, its what you do eat. eat more whole grains, foods high in fiber and protein. try not to eat candy or fast food because all thats in that is sugar and fat. it helps to know when to stop eating. and you absolutely cannot lose weight if you dont excersise! running, biking, crunches, anything that is going to use a lot of muscle, because that is what burns the calories. when it comes straight down to it, the amount of calories you consume is directly proportionate to your weight.

Good luck!!

When I was in my teenage years I replaced milk with water for 1 summer & dropped a lot of weight. If you drink a lot of pop eliminate it. Don't forget to exercise.

Anything made with sugar and/or white flour. That will take the pounds off fast because you will not eat candy, cake, cookies, crackers, bread, pasta, or rice, for example. Good luck!
