no. Dell has no way of knowing what you have saved to your hard drive. They cannot access this info. I'm afraid you are out of luck.

No. Dell will not be able to help you because the laptop was stolen. Since it is not in your physical possession, the hard drive is not accessible. A hard drive is what holds data on the laptop. Without it, you're out of luck. I hope there was nothing sensitive on it. Good luck!
Edit: The above answer is completely incorrect. Dell laptops are not going to "phone home". This sort of technology would have to be preinstalled on the hard drive. But let's entertain this is what Dell has set up ... what would stop someone from popping in a new hard drive?
Edit: If anything I would try adding a BIOS password. Even if the original hard drive was removed, adding a new one won't work. I'm unsure of the success rate of flashing the BIOS.

no matter what you do, your laptop can always be used if someone finds it
there are ways of manipulating the bios, they can put your hard drive in a caddy and view your files, or format it from there and install what they want on it from another computer
how ever, you cannot remotley delete anything from a computer unless you are using some sort of VPN software (Symantic PC Anywhere)
and as for dell, the most they could do, you could report it stolen and IF BY CHANCE the person that took it brought it in for repair
it would show up as stolen and Dell wold take the laptop back
ive had this happen to be with IBM, but dell has horrible custmer service, as usefull as a cup with a hole in the bottom

There is no way to remotely delete the files, the best idea you can do is to buy a gps tracker that you install into the laptop. You can active the GPS and track who has it. If you plan to leave it at an office or classroom, you should by a laptop lock tether.

Um...no...unless the thief brought the computer to a guy from dell (off work) to wipe it....
If it's stolen they only thing dell will tell you is, "sorry for your luck".
That's just about it.

no you would need physical access to the laptop to wipe it... if your laptop was stolen no magical radio wave will wipe it clean for you.

Yes... Once you report a solen laptop, the thief cannot use your PC Online. If the thief tries to connect to the Internet with your laptop, he/she will get busted... The thief would have to completely modify the laptop in order to get away with it.
