would i be able to say that most of the story is a soliloquy?

No because he is not talking to any one or himself in particular. You could say it was more of a stream of consciousness.

i have read it. erm. i think you might get away with saying that but most of it is just what adam is telling the examiners after they gave him medications. so its basically a visit to the shrink kinda thing except they are holding him prisoner. a soliloquy is when there is no one on stage but there are obviously people listening to him so its more like a monologue cuz people are listening. but that doesnt sound right bc those are like stage/play terms not literary/novel terms.

You could definitely say that, as the story is being told from the one point of view, but that is more commonly called first-person narration.
