Is this how they win close elections?
"CONCORD, N.H. — The sentencing of a former telemarketer who pleaded guilty in a Republican phone-jamming plot against New Hampshire Democrats has been postponed until April.
Shaun Hansen, of Spokane, Wash., pleaded guilty in November to conspiracy to commit interstate telephone harassment and to making the calls."
"In 2002, Hansen owned Mylo Enterprises, an Idaho telemarketing company prosecutors say received $2,500 to place hundreds of hang-up telephone calls to Democratic get-out-the-vote phone banks and a ride-to-the-polls line run by Manchester's firefighters union on Election Day."
"Three former Republican officials were convicted in the phone-jamming plot. Former state Republican Committee Executive Director Chuck McGee served seven months in federal prison after admitting to devising the scheme."

As always, neo-cons have no regret of lying and breaking laws to achieve their goal of total control. True conservatives speak about accountability, honesty, honor and more. Neo-cons are ruthless, inherently evil, and subscribe to the ends justifying the means. True conservatives are a dying breed.

It could be that they were working on their own without higher officials being involved. Look at it this way...If the top dogs of the republican party were going to pay a telemarketer, they would really make it worth his while.
I think those were lone individuals. I sure wouldn't do that for a mere $2,500...or even...25,000 for that matter. So what do you think their point was? Just to make a point that it can be done, maybe?

Yes, you have figured us out. All republicans win elections by jamming phone lines. Dang, we thought you would never figure it out, Sherlock! Listen, just out of curiosity, were you waiting for someone to call you and tell you to go and vote? If you were and no one called, would you then stay home?

They be playing dirty. I can't believe that tried to jam a firefighters' vote transport service. It's not like they're politically biased or anything.

I don't see a problem here, so they got caught at doing something the Dem's do all the time, and you don't here us crying about it.

I find it hard to believe the Repuglicans would cheat to win an election. Oh right, I forgot about the 2000 election. DoH!

I had not read that. It reinforces my opinion that the last two presidential elections were rigged. Very frighting stuff going on these days. I don't know why, to answer your question, but thank you for bringing this to our attention.
