Why would Republicans pay someone to jam Democratic 'get-out-the-vote' phone lines?

It could be that they were working on their own without higher officials being involved. Look at it this way...If the top dogs of the republican party were going to pay a telemarketer, they would really make it worth his while.

I think those were lone individuals. I sure wouldn't do that for a mere $2,500...or even...25,000 for that matter. So what do you think their point was? Just to make a point that it can be done, maybe?

I had not read that. It reinforces my opinion that the last two presidential elections were rigged. Very frighting stuff going on these days. I don't know why, to answer your question, but thank you for bringing this to our attention.
