On one hand things are important, with out things people are just bright animals. On the other hand how can a possession be worth your life? The life of another? At what point are you willing to sacrifice your being for a thing?

No, its all material matter, can't take it with you.
But at times it might be hard to part with. Like pictures of the family, kids, etc... That would probably be the hardest thing for me to give up, because they take you back to a moment and bring back memories, the other stuff houses, furniture, jewelry can be replaced.

Photographs are memories that could never be replaced, but your question is so dramatic I would have to say my property...meaning my house. I wouldn't surrender my property to a foreign power.

I have a cross with the lords prayer written really tiny in the center on a necklace. My grandfather gave it to my grandmother in 1950 and my grandmother gave it to me in 2000. I wear it every day and someone would probably have to pry it from my cold dead hands to get it from me.

it is this doll (life-size) that i got when i was 5 or 6 years old. it is quite precious to me. it was my first doll that was that big. i love it! and it is so special to me because the doll went all around the world with me when i was a little girl. and, it has a broken leg. :( it meant a lot to me when i was little, so i would never dare give it up for even $1230000.
