I have always had irregular cycles and have can not remember when my last cycle started. I have had two ultrasounds and both around the same due date. Are ultrasound results reliable to go by and can I use the gestational age according to them to determine around when my child was conceived?

You don't need to know when it was conceived, just when it is due.
Yes, the ultra sounds are a great measure of gestational age.

Reasonably accurate, especially if you have had two, they will sort of confirm each other as they will also confirm the baby is growing.
They can only give you a REASONABLE idea however. They could be out by a week or two. Using gestational age to confirm conception is not always particularly reliable.
If pinpointing conception is important is it because a case of who's the daddy? Were you or your partner taking some sort of medication you are worried may have harmed the baby? Did you do something that you are worried about? Or is it just curiosity?

US is fairly accurate when it comes to determining the due date gave or take a few days. If they gave you the gestational age of the baby you can count back to find out when you conceived. It won't be precise, so if you were having a lot of sex within a week, you may not know when it happened. Good luck!!

Ultasounds are good predicters. If you do't know when conception was, an ultrasound is the only thing that will give you a good estimate. Usually it's accurate within a week, so you should be fine.

They can BEST GUESS according to size and development. There is major change each month.
