I would like to get a fun toy for my seven year old nephew, but have no idea what seven year olds are into these days. I have strict orders from his mom to not spend too much money-being the only nephew, he usually gets spoiled-so I want to keep it under 20 dollars. Thanks for your input!

Well what with the new transformers movie coming out i'd have to say get him a transformer. I played with these as a kid and anyone i talk to who had one was NEVER disappointed. They sell for around £15 over here and are definately worth the money.

Does he have professor layton and the curious village? There are a lot of puzzlers and an interesting story line. I have it for my DS lite. Have you thought about a book of photo hunt? It's a book of several sets of pictures. You have to find 5 or more things wrong with the picture. It will help him with his cognitive development. Does he have webkinz? The sight develops many different skills and engages all different ages. I hope this helps you.

I would suggest a kite, yes, a kite. It is a fun, yet inexpensive way to entertain your nephew, while introducing him to science, and the earth's surface currents. My uncle who was a meteorologist, opened the doors to science through a simple kite, now with much thanks to him, I see the world in a whole different light.
