Binions has the BEST cheeseburgers and home made soups. You sit right at the counter and watch them cook, like old style. The old guys that work there are fun and funny. I make sure to go there at least once during all my visits. Have fun! Good luck!!

All good answers about the casino food. Here's is something different. Just east of the covered area, still on Fremont, across from the Neonopolis theaters and shops, is an Irish pub, I believe called Hennessey's. Try their Corned Beef Hash for breakfast. You won't need to eat lunch.

The best would be, lunch at Main Street Station's buffet, for $7.89 you can eat at one of the very best buffets in LV. They have a great selection including Chinese, Mexican, Italian & American, the dessert bar is about as good as it gets.
Binion's > Snack Bar, Deli, Coffee Shop and Steakhouse.
California > Snack Bar, Coffee Shop & The Pasta Pirate(Italian)
Fitzgerald's >Coffee Shop, McDonald's,Krispy Kreme, & Buffet B-$7 L-$7 D-$10
Four Queens>Coffee Shop, Subway, Noble Roman's Pizza & Dreyer's - If/when you win big try >Hugo's Cellar, it opens at 5pm(expensive)
Fremont>Tony Roma's BBQ, Lanai Express(American) & Buffet B-$6 L-$7 D-$10
Golden Nugget>Snack Bar, Coffee Shop & Buffet B-$9 L-$10 D-$17
Main Street Station>777 Restaurant & Brew Club>one of my favorite places, they serve a great steak for a very reasonable price. You can have a great meal a couple of beers and dessert for under $15. Buffet B-$6 L-$8 D-$11
Plaza>McDonald's, Subway, Nobel Roman's Pizza, Snack Bar,Seattle's Best Coffee. Buffet B-$7 L-$8 D-$9
Vegas Club>Snack Bar & Upper Deck(American-inexpensive)
Golden Gate>Coffee Shop, Deli>home to the world famous .99c shrimp cocktail, this one is a LV legend and has been on the Las Vegas Advisor's top ten list of best values since 1983...

The Buffet (Golden Nugget -- Downtown)
One of the two best buffets Downtown. For the other and larger, go to Main Street Station. Sunday is the champagne brunch, where you can get loaded on cheap, sweet hooch while downing eggs and pancakes.
Garden Court Buffet (Main Street Station -- Downtown)
A very good buffet and a really nice room! This is a good one, especially on the weekends, when the brunch is enormous and served with plenty of cheap champagne. There are loads of variety: Italian, Chinese, Mexican, American and a huge selection of desserts. Just over $5 for breakfast, up to about $15 for the Friday night seafood dinner.

Main street buffet is not bad and reasonable price. But if you don't want buffet, there's Hawaiian restaurant at California Hotel on the 1st and 2nd floor that's really good and popular. Price is very reasonable (between $4-$10).
