ok, i'll start by telling you i am gay. and i am just as annoyed and hurt by discrimination against us as anyone else but i think it is unfair to just blame "the christians." this is just as much discrimination as any homphobia and the fact is that the majority of christians are normal people that love jesus but also love everyone else. the only people that are actually discriminative are the radical christians. every religion has radicals, and these are the people that need to be blamed, it is downright unfair to just blame "the christians." lets try to be at least decent! does anyone else realize this?

Thanks, but I think even we "un-radical" ones could do a better job of showing Christian love to you. It's easy for us to say we love you but not what you do, yet we (on the whole) don't treat you the same as we do, say heterosexual adulterers. So I think there's definite room for improvement on our side.

I'm a lesbian Christian and I have said the exact same thing on here several times since I often feel attacked by people in the LBGT "community." I have, however, gotten some very good responses that were positive and supportive. Of course, I did get the whole "it's a sin, repent!" type messages, you just have to ignore them. I suggest you check out a few of my old postings.

all the so-called christians that get on here proclaim that all gays are going to burn in hell, well I don't see how that can be as it was God that made gay people to begin with, I thing that you have a wonderful attitude and I wish that it would spread to these so-called christians who are nothing but bible thumpers and only apply the sections of the bible that THEY want to completely forget about this one section: JUDGE LEAST THEE BE JUDGED too bad they don't think of that section before they start spouting off about people burning in hell, well they should look in the mirror and shut up.

I always make sure to say that it is a tiny yet strident minority of hypocritical "christians" that do the anti-LGBT bashing and hate-preaching. Most Christians I know work for justice and equality, and really live up to that title.

Of course, I also use the same non-generalized language when talking about ignorant bigots of other religions as well.

Of course, there are exceptions - I have yet to meet a bigoted Buddhist. You folks rock!

We don't blame "the Christians", just those claiming to represent their faith when in fact they don't seem to understand its tenets at all. And gays who "blame the Christians" don't necessarily represent all gays, you know. It does work both ways.

Read the Bible . It says in black and white, speaking of gays: .........".a man shall not lay with a man and a woman shall not lay with a woman"! I get a lot of thumbs down on this subject but hey, I didn't write the bible. If you want to use the tool that God give you for reaming out s***holes, thats between you and your maker!
