ok.first of all,you have to know what is causing your pc to freeze.with windows, that may be a million things...a corrupted system file,a regular installed program gone awry, spyware and adware bogging down your system, device drivers, or hardware malfunction.really a lot of things.so,let's try a software troubleshooting first, before opening up that pc case.when your pc is running, press ctrl-alt -del.you will be presented with the task manager window.look at the programs running.if you have spyware or adware running you will see them there.uninstall them or better yet run anti spyware tools, like most of the guys mentioned.but sometimes it's just a regular installed program which when doing something automatically just "loops" or freezes.and in windows a program that freezes usually affects the os system wide.so check for running programs first.don't go killing processes if you dont know what they are because that will cause your system to become unstable.just click on the running applications tab.try terminating them one by one till you find the culprit.also look at the "start menu - start up items folder.is there a program that starts when you start windows?try removing them from the start menu.you can then try running registry cleaners like some of the guys advised.your registry might be bogged down with unwanted and unnecessary entries.then look for hardware conflicts..."my computer-properties-device manager".if all that fails.then you have to open that case and check for the temperature inside your machine.dust accumulation on your pc,causes heat build-up,which can affect all the components inside.it can even burn out some components, like the capacitors the other guys was talking about.
as for the second problem, check your video card driver.check the manufacturer's website for updates if necessary.try changing resolutions which is best adapted to the game you were playing.and also check the video acceleration sliders.try lowering the acceleration.with the details you supplied here, that's all i can think of right now.hope that helped.pls. let us know the results.good luck.

Your computer freezing could be caused by several things. I would start by checking the the motherboard for blown capacitors. The capacitors are cylinder shaped, vertical, tall pieces on the motherboard, usually with two wires that come down to connect them at the bottom. A good capacitor has a flat top, a blown capacitor has a slight or severe bubble shaped top. Capacitors have an "X" grooved in their tops. If all the capacitors look good or your motherboard does not have any capacitors, then I would check the fans. Are all the fans spinning fast and blowing air? The next thing I would check would be the power supply. Some BIOS's will tell you the amount of voltage coming from the power supply. There may be some diagnostic software that can tell you the voltages from the power supply.
I would guess that your video card is not compatible with the game. Check the box for compatible video cards. You may need to purchase a video card that has more memory and features to effectively run the game. There is usually a readme file with games that talk about known issues. The game programmers may have already mentioned a fix for the game, this may be downloading the newest drivers from the video card manufacturer web site. There may be a program running on your computer that is taking over from the game while it is running. If you are using Windows XP run MSCONFIG from START/RUN. Disable all startup items from the Startup tab. Hide all the Microsoft Services and disable everthing else. Try running your game. If it runs correctly, put back the startup and services one at a time until the game fails.

I don't know the answer to the first one but I can help you with the second one... (the instructions are for Windows XP)
Go to Start
Click Control Panel
Click Switch to Classic View on the left-hand side panel
Look for Display and double-click on it
Switch to the Settings Tab
Click on Advanced
Switch to the Troubleshoot Tab
Change the Hardware Acceleration to your desired level (in your case I would recommend None)
Uncheck Enable write combining
Click OK
On the other window click OK
Now try playing your game, you deserve a break from the bunch of steps you took. Yourr gaming problem MIGHT be fixed and if it is, be aware that you have 30 mins. gaming time before your computer shuts down again

Take the RAM which you put in the dell out and positioned it back to this is unique configuration. this might desire to then boot up. in case you have already achieved this then the RAM or Motherboard is defective. Fujitsu feels like the two the cardboard has been positioned right into a slot with a decrease compatibility, or its broken. N.B. basically simply by fact there is not any scent would not advise its no longer fried. i would not worry taking them to a restore shop, in all honesty it would be a waste of money to attempt and get them up and dealing. From what i will discover on the internet they're fairly previous and have been relatively undesirable from new.... shop the money and get a sparkling pc

Sounds like you have spyware to me.
Go to www.download.com and download Adaware and Spybot Search & Destroy. They are both free and do a decent job of getting rid of the common spyware out there.
Install them, make sure you update them both. Then run each one seperately. Delete anything they find. Then reboot.
See if that helps, if not you may need to reload or repair the OS.

A clean computer is key to a faster computer. Run the 3 scans below.
Run a virus scan weekly.
Update and run your Anti-Virus program. Don't have one? You can run a free online scan from CA.
http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virus...
Run Spybot and Adaware weekly.
Download, update and run Spybot---http://www.safer-networking.org/... . Don't forget to use the Immunize feature.
Download, update and run Adaware---http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaw...
Now to prevent spyware from being installed in the first place....
Download SpywareBlaster---http://majorgeeks.com/download2859.html
SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.
It's main features include:
- Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
- Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
- Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
Now lets clean up your registry.
Run RegScrubXP weekly. Run Cleanup every time you log off.
Download RegScrubXP--http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?d...
Safely cleans junk out of the Windows 2000/XP system registry. All changes made to the registry are fully restorable to it's original condition. You can make an exclusion list of registry entries that RegScrubXP will not display as problems. You can sift through a list of file extensions, company names, run upon startup programs, Internet Explorer history, and uninstall programs to delete what you think is junk.
Download CleanUp---http://www.stevengould.org/software/clea...
Free disk space, make your computer run better/faster and protect your privacy - all in one easy solution. All for free!
Now lets clean up your disk.
Run a Disk Cleanup 2 times a month. Run Disk Defrag. monthly.
Do a Disk Cleanup and Disk Defrag. You can find both of them by following the path below.
Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>Disk Cleanup. Let it do its thing. You can check every box that has something to delete.
Now follow the same path and do a Disk Defrag. Again just let it do its thing.
Now lets tweak your connection.
If your speed is good I would not mess with it by trying to tweak it. If you do tweak once it is done you should not have to do it every again.
There are many programs out there to do this. I will give you 2 of them.
The first one is TCP Optimizer.
Description: The TCP Optimizer is a free, easy Windows program that provides an intuitive interface for tuning and optimizing your Internet connection. There is no installation required, just download and run.
http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php....
You can get support for the best way to set it up right from their forum http://forums.speedguide.net/
The second one is Cablenut.
Windows XP tested and approved
CableNut is a tool for optimizing your Internet Connection. We have provided a way to tweak any option you may want to in the adjuster. You can load "CableNut Custom Setting" files that are included with the program to tweak your Internet connection.
http://www.cablenut.com/
Again support is available right from their forum.http://www.broadbandnuts.com/index.php?p...
All programs are FREE!
After applying the suggestions above you will have a clean and faster computer. Enjoy.
