NO... to be homesick for someplace, you would have to have a tie to that place, and if you have never been there, then you have never seen the place. You might dream of a place, and wish that you were there, but that is different than actually being homesick for a place that you have never been to.

Most definetly.
I had never been to Georgia (USA), but always wanted to go. So when I finally went there and stayed in Athens(GA) for a couple of days it felt like coming home...it was exactly as I had imagined it and i liked all the trivial things about it. I haven't returned since, but I always think about it.

No, it is not being "homesick" that makes you feel that way. It is just a very strong desire to go there (to that place) and it is enough to cause depression.

Yes I do because that's how I feel about Germany. Never been there, seen pictures, have relatives from there and heard about it a lot. Sounds beautiful and most "German" people I've met were great. Love to see for myself.

Yes - especially if they never really feel grounded where they are - and they have a belief that some place would be much more in line with their spirit

Oh yes...I'm 'homesick' for those hot beaches, or a crib (on a hot beach) *sigh*
