I have to do a report on what an american hero should be like, such as benjamen martin from the movie the patriot. Any ideas?

I really believe that the true "American Hero" is Gerald Ford. I chose him because he was the only president in history to be elected as president without winning votes. He became president, after President Nixion, and after John F. Kennedy. He joined the Us. Naval Reserve, and he helped to heal this nation. He lead us through, and ended the Vietnam war, and so on.

There are many great American hero's. My personal choice would be Audie Murphy, the most decorated combat soldier of World War Two.
