Sexual orientation can't be changed, you can only change how you behave. And people do it all the time.
For example; 1) gay men who decide to live the striaght life style because of societies pressures to fit in as straight men.
2) Or straight girls who decide to live the lesbian lifestyle because of they're bad experiences with men. And then decide to go back to men and stay with them, and never be with another woman again when they realize that men is what they really desire.
3) Or a thin effeminate guy who can't find a girlfriend and who everyone calls gay, so he believes he is gay or bisexual, (due to his lack of self-esteem), only to find out later he really is straight.
All of this happens all the time, but no one likes to a acknowledge it because it's difficult to know if the person who calls herself lesbian, or if a guy says he's straight, is telling the truth. And so people just assume what ever they want and right history accordingly, like with Clay Aiken and other famous guys that everyone calls gay because of their own ignorant homophobia.
So in the end, some people are born gay/bi, some straight people decide to live the gay lifestyle and call themselves gay/bi, and some people are sexually confused at different points of their lives giving the illusion that sexuality is 100% fluid.
BTW, you can read all the articles and studies you can, but most of it's biased from what I've read no matter how intelligent the professionals sound. Actual life experience (without any blinding filters) is the only way to know the truth about this topic.

I don't believe that sexual orientation can be changed. I have heard that some of the fundamental christian groups think that this can be changed in people, however there are no facts or data supporting that. It is generally accepted fact that people are born with the sexual orientation that they have. I would suggest looking at some of the psychological journals, periodicals, or websites for better back up on the facts on this. Good Luck!

I could say yes, or I could say no. There aren't any real facts. Just many, many theories. This isn't really a good topic to write about, just because most of it is opinion. Scientists still debate whether it is gene makeup, or a mental thing. Or it is what people just prefer. Whatever it is, there are no hard facts about it.

That doesn't sound like an opinion to me, it sounds like honest, first-hand experience! And about as close to "facts" as you're going to find on the subject. Don't sell your experience short. Why can't you just interview yourself? That's an accepted approach in research.

Nope, it can't be changed!
Well, if you were born gay but were in denial, like I was, your sexuality 'changes' when you come out to yourself... but that's not what you're talking about, I don't think.

Since it is a mental state then you can probably change it with therapy or having something repeated to you over and over again untill you believe it. That last one is how some cults work.

the desire to sin can be overcome. faith knowledge and love of god will provide the means for any homosexual person to resist the sin of homosexual thought and behaviour.
homosexuality is no different then a person who sees a brinks truck thinks i love money and robs the truck. both are sinfull desires that are the will of satan.
God did not make any person with the desire to have unnatural sex. satan has worked his way into the person and into some churches and certainly society in his effort to have us all accept his sinfull ways.
so yes the sexual desires of a person are changed by satan . they can be returned to normal by faith and trust and love of god.

Of course. It can be changed through God and prayer. I caught the Gay from my cousin back when i was 15. Through Jesus Christ and Church i was able to be cured of that disease, now i am straight and have a wife and beautiful baby girl.

And sorry to tell those that would rely on superstition and witch-doctor remedies but they don't work either.
