1997 was my first year at Mardi Gras, and WOW!!! We, my roommate Adam, and friends Darrick and Katie, left Cortland, NY on Thursday at around 10pm. This may have been kind of crazy but we wanted to go and didn't care that we would wind up traveling for almost 50 hours while only spending about 36 hours in New Orleans. We were nuts! Well we got down there with no place tostay, but did have the number of a friend of a friend who was expecting us (thanks Amy for introducing us to Sara, she's the best). We had a blast on Bourbon Street, as everyone does, and seeing some parades, Tucks and Endymion. This page is more for links than for pictures from Bourbon street, but I hope you enjoy it anyway, and make sure you do look at the picture that are here though.

well once i had to go to a museum on MARDI GRAS!!! how UN-american.... n e ways i was bummed but when we came out of the place a parade had started and i got to go and i got sooo many moonpies! YAY ME!!!

i went to new orleans in 2002, got drunk with hubby and flashed for beads for 5 days :)
best vacation ever!!!
