I shower daily, use antibacterial soap, use a great antipersperant (the problem isn't sweating, it's the smell) and have tried many deodorants. Yet, I still smell.

My social life has been ruined by this, because c'mon, who wants to be around someone who smells. Plus, since I know I smell, I don't have the self-confidence to approach people and show them how funny/nice/interesting I really am.

I TIRED of people walking into a room and saying "it smells disgusting in here."

Is there any advice you can give on possibly a pill I could take to solve this awful problem. By the way, I'm a 16 year old GUY, and am too embarrased to talk to my parents about this (I don't have that type of relationship with them, so that's out of the question)...so I can't go to the doctor.

I thought I already answered this question before but here goes the answer again...
My older brother died of cancer on the right side of his neck. There was an 8-inch gaping hole & we could look right into it & see his neckbones.
Why am I telling you this? Because, before he started taking "Chlorophyll", he STANK. The smell of rotting flesh was disgusting.
However, my family is big into nutritional stuff, so we looked around at the health food store.
Go to your local health food store & buy some. It should be in a dark bottle. It's sweet tasting. you take 1 spoonful daily. Body odor; foot odor; bad breath or any other kind of body odor will be removed shortly.
This chlorella purifies your blood & freshens your entire body. It's also good for skin problems, such as acne.
I promise you; it works.
We were able to be around my brother right up until the day he died, & he had no offensive odor after he started taking this.
Good luck. If you get this, your confidence will soon return.

Some things that MIGHT help:

1) Improve your diet. More fresh raw fruits and leafy green veggies, less meat (or none, better still), no greasy junk food.

2) Go to a health food store and buy chlorophyll tablets. Take the recommended dose with every meal or snack. There's a very good chance that these will help, especially if you also make the changes in diet. Another supplement to try would be acidophilous. Zinc supplements might also help - better yet, bet a multi-vitamin that has some zinc in it, as zinc alone can upset some people's stomach. If you have a good health food store, they can give you lots of good advice, but some stores are....well, a bit far out. Their chlorophyll will work just fine even if the owners are wacky, though..

There is, however, a chance that you have a metabolic problem that requires medical help. Can you call your doctor and make an appointment for yourself?

But first try the suggestions above for at least a couple of weeks; you may notice dramatic improvement. If you can't do everything, try to cut back on meat as much as you possibly can and take chlorophyll.

Singles just don't understand what it's like to have kids. Yes, your friends will not go out with you as much; the kids require a LOT of attention and energy, more than you can imagine, and of course they won't want you getting drunk at a kid's birthday party. In fact, you should not accept those invitations if you feel the need to get drunk there and make an a** of yourself. You shouldn't have to convince anyone that you don't want kids right now, that's your choice. There is a certain kind of closeness you can have with parents of other children the same age as yours, and it's nice to be able to share that with your friends. But if you need friends to party with, then go out partying or wherever and strike up conversations with people you think might be good friend material. It's hard to make new friends but it sounds like that's what you need to do. Oh, and it wouldn't hurt to just be honest with your friends with kids: you need to give them space but also say that you would like, even if it's just once in a long while, to go out and have fun the way you used to. That way you might have a chance of keeping these friends, in the long term at least.

First go to the doctor, have a complete physical and see what might turn up. If you are healthy in all other aspects, then try chlorophyll. You can get it in supplement form at your local health food store. It removes the impurities from your blood so whatever odor you are producing should be greatly reduced, if not eliminated completely. Also, don't forget personal hygiene. Change soaps, antiperspirants and or colognes until you find a combination that works for you.

Hi You can go to the doctor !

And sort this out - you do not need your parents permission to do this ! or talk to them if you don't want to.

All doctors have their patients first interest at heart whether you are 10 20 or 100 yrs old.

I Know where you are coming from - the best approach is to go to your doctors and ask to see your doctor / and make an appointment - don't be afraid of doctors - they give medical advice - they are not going to lecture you or do anything to you - they will give the advice and reccomend what might be best

if you don't feel comfortable with this. then speak with an a older adult that you trust and tell them, if they care then they will help take care

Try this, I answered it the other day for a women, but I am sending you the same thing.
Look for the ''active ingredient'' in the anti-perspirant/deodorant, and find one with the highest % of ''aluminum chloride'', that should help. (Some places I have read about this ingredient being linked to breast cancer, however there is no evidence of that). Do some research! Also this may be obvious but make sure you are using anti-persprant/deodorant, not just deodorant.

Men's anti-perspirant will have more of that ingredient. If that fails you can get "Drysol''. I have used that already and it works real good.

i'm trying to jog my memory...i saw this on on 20/20 a few months ago about a woman with the same problem. it turned out she had a medical condition, she secreted a certain smell no matter what she did, and she had to follow a specific diet and had to eliminate a TON of foods so that she would never smell that way again.

I'm so sorry sweetie...I wish I knew a better way to help you out. As painful as it is, you just might have to talk to your parents about it.

Oh yes you can go to the doctor, tell your parents that you haven't been feeling well and need to see a doctor. Now that your sixteen you go in alone and talk to him, there is a pill that will stop this. Parents are better than you think, try and talk to at least one of them. If not follow my advice.

Only your doctor can help you with medication. He/she is trained, qualified, and licensed to give you medical advice. People on this site are not. Further, you are not unique with this problem, and if you smell as badly as you say you do, your parents are well aware, so do not be afraid to discuss the problem with them as well as your need to see your doctor. Good luck!!

From my nutrition classes I learned the lack of zinc in a man's diet will cause excessive offensive odor emitting from his body.
