My Lexus is still under warranty; will Toyota acknowledge the Lexus warranty and perform the work for free? It's a longshot I know, but they are part of the same parent company.

Yes, it is warranty work. The closest dealership to me is 104 miles away.

Any Toyota shop CAN fix your Lexus. However, because they are ran as two seperate entities, a Toyota shop CANNOT do warranty work on a Lexus, only customer pay work.

This comes from a Toyota Service Manager, with whom I work.

You would have a long shot. First there has to be no available Lexus facility within 100 miles. Secondly the dealership would have to get the Lexus Factory Rep to authorize the repairs. Then they would have to order the parts, because it is unlikely that the part you need will be in stock.

Not a long shot a all. They are all the same company.

This of course assumes you are talking factory warranty.

And it also assumes you are talking about a repair that is covered under your warranty.

At any rate, you shouldn't have any issues.

They should - but you may want to call them and ask before you take it in.
