dvd-rw question?

i tried recording on a maxell dvd-rw and it said the disc was invalid.. i have no idea what to do
help pleasee

See if you can format it with the software your using it to record.

It means your recorder does not reconise the disc... get some other brands

Your system isn't seeing the disc, it is most likely damaged.

Try reading what your recorder uses duh
