The divisions are extremely uneven. Nashville and Detroit are the only two good teams in the Central Division. They can rack up impressive points in the standings because they play primarily against weak teams. The Northwest Division is so packed with good teams, no one can get anywhere in the standings in relation to other divisions.

Yes!! I think it hurt the NHL when they went away from that system. There r way too many teams in markets that no one cares about. Plus it would bring back some of those old rivals we don't really get to see anymore.

What they should do is seed teams in order of points, unless a division winner is lower than the 8 seed, but then they get the 8th.

I hope that made sense.

But fixing the divisions to make 2 per conference would be better.

properly at first, you have the main suitable to call your self branch champions, that's some thing in itself, and that i dont comprehend alot approximately hockey, yet i comprehend in the NBA in spite of information, the three branch winners in each and each convention are given the right 3 seeds in line with checklist, then the different 5 are in line with information, or wild enjoying cards in case you will, by potential of this style, the 8 seed might have a extra effectual checklist than the three seed, yet lower back it remains the reward for prevailing the branch. I have not got any clue no count if this is this style in hockey or no longer, could be will possibly no longer, yet its nevertheless intense-high quality to be waiting to assert you have been branch champs.

I think they need to cut down the number of games they play with their division. 8 is way to many. It gets boring after a while watching the same teams. I would llike to see them go back to the old way.The schedule needs to change as well.

I don't really see what that would fix... you'd still get the same 4-5 teams dominating the conferences. What would having fewer divisions fix?

I don't mind the divisions. I really don't care as long as they change the schedule to allow teams to play every team at least twice.
