These displays are clearer, more realistic visually and are usually (although not always) a glassy surface...unlike the non-glares which are a mat type finish.

I have a True Life although mine goes by a different name and as a Graphics/Web developer-designer, I find it exceptional to work with. To check out the clarity on these screens have the sales person put up a screensaver such as a tropical fish tank or underwater scene and then set up the same thing on a similar resolution non-True life monitor. You'll not only see the difference you'll probably not want anything else but a True life or similar.

Good luck with your purchase

Hi. It means a better color resolution. As in " True to life".
