I just asked a question saying Can I get a frog for my fish tank??. Well now that I know that the answer is yes I am wondering what kind of frog should I get?? I have a 2.5 galleon tank with 3 small fish inside although the man who owns Ocean Aquaruim says that the orange will nip at guppies a bit sometimes. The other two are tetras. What kind of frog should I get?????????

African Dwarf frogs.

Sometimes called African clawed frogs

You can learn how to care for them in the site I have below. They can eat frozen baby brine shrimp which petsco sells online pretty cheap. Don't EVER try to freeze baby brine shrimp yourself! You need at least a 10 gallon tank though.

You are already overstocked as it is with 3 fish in a tiny 2.5 gallon tank. If you get something bigger, like a 10 gallon, then yes you can get a frog. There are 2 different types, african dwarf frogs and african clawed frogs. Get the dwarf variety, they live peacefully with the smaller tropicals, like the guppies you have. The african clawed ones get very large and will eat your fish.

Here is a link with some information about them, http://allaboutfrogs.org/info/mypets/dwarfs.html

yeah, with that size of a tank, sounds like you already have enough fish, id suggest upgrading the size of your tank, or if you want a frog, get its own tank. i have an african dwarf frog in with my mollys and platties, seems fine with those fish, dont know too much about tetras though.

You can't get a frog for your tank!!!!! Who the hell told you that?? They lied to you. I used to work at Pet Oasis long long ago. Never mix fish and a frog.
