Do you understand what a literary analysis is?

Definition of Analysis: “A method by which a thing is separated into parts, and those parts are given rigorous, logical, detailed scrutiny, resulting in a consistent and relatively complete account of the elements of the thing and the principles of their organization.” (from A Handbook to Literature, 5th edition. By C. Hugh Holman & William Harmon. New York, Macmillan Publishing Co, 1986, p. 20)

You are going to need more than just one topic for your paper. You will need to explore several areas in detail through comparison and contrast. Usually 3-5 areas are adequate depending on length requirements of your teacher. Expound on these areas in as thorough detail as possible within your space limitations.

Some areas to consider for this book are: historical events that influenced hte characters, religion, sibling differences, class differences, hunger, etc.

You could write about how the book should have been called Angela's Crying because that is all that woman does. I also noticed that the more she cries the more she smokes so maybe that is why it is Angela's Ashes.

BTW - NEVER read the book 'Tis. While Angela's Ashes was a sad book it had a good humor about it. 'Tis is just about a drunken idiot unleashed on America. Just my opinion...

i'm a huge Jane Austen fan, so any of hers could be large. Northanger Abbey makes for a chilled assessment to Jane Eyre simply by fact it pokes relaxing at how ludicrous it relatively is to have some thing like a spouse in the attic, so if that appeals to you, i might strongly advise it. different than Jane, To Kill a Mockingbird is taken under consideration one of my sought after books I ever examine in college. the large Gatsby is stable there with it, and the two considered one of them have lots you may study, it would be no problem to do a paper on the two. while you're into Harry Potter, there's a CRAP TON of symbolism there, it would be common to do one on that. starvation video games is a huge e book, yet extra of a shifting tale. in case you tried to write a paper on it, the stuff that makes it so powerful is often plot, and in case you opt for for to be extra analytical it would be a large type of mentioning the plain. solid woman lead, corrupt government, etc. stable good fortune on your paper!!!
