Hi I was diagnosed with endometriosis 17 years ago, I have an aggressive type and had every drug and operation going. Then told 12 years ago after 7 hr microsurgery to repair damage, that I'd never conceive.
To cut a LONG story short I now have four children aged 10, 8, 7 and 1 !!
Incidentally, in between babies, the endometriosis came back with a vengeance and I was awaiting a hysterectomy when I conceived my last baby!

My sister has it. It took her almost 3 years to conceive my nephew. She conceived when she had given up. After he was born she did improve. She had to have 3 surgeries before him and none after. Then she had a second baby about 4 years later. She had no trouble conceiving him, but when he was 5 yrs old she ended up getting a complete hysterectomy due to the complications of her endometrosis (she was 38). There are no guarantees, but if you want children then you should try to have one.

I have 2 sister in laws who have endometrisis and one has three kids now and the other just found out this week that she is preg. She had just give up trying!! I hope all goes well for you. Have you had any treatment for the endometrosis? They can burn it out and there is also a pill you can take that is supposed to help. Have the Doctors giving you any percentages of getting preg? I wish you well!!

No one should say to you that you are unlikely to get pregnant!
There is no doubt that endometriosis can make conceiving more difficult but not impossible.
Many women that have endometriosis have bouncing healthy babies. Incidentally many celebrities with the disease also have had babies. baby spice being one is happily pregnant.
best thing to do is relax, follow your GP's advice and start trying.

Apparently once you have a baby your endometriosis should be more controllable and has been known to almost disappear. The pain is supposed to lesson dramatically.
I have endometriosis and Polycystic ovarian syndrome so know a little bit about it.

I had surgery for endometriosis, and I have had three healthy children since then. It is possible.
