I have a budget of Indian Rupees 33-35K. I want to use the laptop for mainly Internet surfing and Office applications.
Few models I selected are Acer 5101, Compaq V3155, ACER 2428.
I want to use this laptop for at least 3 years before I plan for an upgrade.
Memory needs to be at least 256MB and Hard Disk needs to be at least 60GB-80GB.
Please suggest other models too with approx price...

As some have answered to buy a desktop, I dont need a desktop.
A laptop is portable, mobile and occupies less space.
I already have a office laptop, but I want one for personal use.

Dear IBM is best as IBM has inbuilt setup and not need to carry setup or driver cd's for future setup.
Also I want to give a suggestion..... If your working is needs not movement and want to use computer for long time like 3 years you must buy a desktop instead of laptop... as laptops needs proper handle with care.... a small defect takes huge repair expenses... you can buy IBM Desktop at 29000/- with bundled Windows XP Pro.
Rest is your choice Laptop or Desktop.....
