It is beyond most people to diagnose themselves. You are afraid of what you aren't sure of.
Let the professionals help you. Most things can be fixed. Trust that you will be helped. It is very good to be concerned but not so good to make yourself crazy. You will be all right.
You did the smartest thing you could do. You got help.

Have you tried going on line to a medical web site like WWW.Webmd.com? I went on it a few months ago when I had questions about mental illness for my daughter. You need to get some blood work done if you already haven't to check if there is a chemical imbalance. If your not satisfied with the answers your getting from Dr's , keep looking for one until you do. If you are thinking of hurting yourself or something call a crisis hot line in your area. Don't give up .

Amental illness and psychological disorder is the same thing. Try not to worry, your Dr. will most likely diagnose you correctly. Try to calm down, trust your doctors' diagnoses...they will get you the right treatment for you. Good luck!!

If your waiting for a second opinion then thats good. You'l either have your 1st diagnosis confirmed or if they say something else then you could get a 3rd opinion. When you have mental illness you have to trust your doctors & the people looking after you.Because of the nature of your illness you cant trust your own opinion which is why you must trust & believe in your doctors.Theres no harm in getting extra opinions if it reassures you but ultimately you have to trust the professionals diagnosis.

One thing i will say, is that in order to help understand different mental health issues. professionals had to give them names. Butthe boxes these names create don't take account of the fact that everyone's mental health issue is as unique as they are. Maybe you are getting too caught up in the names rather than what will work for you for your problem, which is the most important thing.

Not that i'm saying to ignore professionals of course.
