I had a normal period that started jan 11. Then I should have started Feb 10th or so but didn't instead I started spotting on the night of the 17th. Woke up the 18th to what seemed to be a normal period then today it's just a brown discharge. I didn't have any clotting or anything but this is a really short period for me. I also have lower back pain, slight cramping with what feels like gas bubbles or something, breast swelling, light headedness, and I am utterly exhausted hence the reason i thought I was pregnant before but the day before I started spotting I took an hpt with a negative result!!! HELP

Just to clarify... I am 25. I have had 2 pregnancies before with 2 births. I am not on birth control and I was at the doctor 2 weeks ago for a check up that showed nothing wrong with me. This was before I missed my period; however; I haven't been sexually active due to the fact that I thought I might be pregnant.

Best advice. Go to a local clinic and see a Doctor. They can better asses whats going on, since you said you thought you were pregnant. Spotting can occur for many reasons. Its better left to the professionals. Hope all goes well.
Take care

How old are you??? When I was in high school, many of my friends would have regular periods for a while and then it would be MIA for no reason. I wouldnt worry too much about it, STRESS can make it late, make it last LONGER, make it last SHORTER.... can cause all sorts of weird things to happen. Just try and relax.

You need to see a gyn. It could be an infection or even something more serious. Go to the doctor.
