Hi everyone, I am new so bare with me at this but really need some advice. I am 28 Yrs old and currently trying to concieve. My last period was on Jan 1st , I never got it in February. - I have taken so many pregnacy test and all came back negative, well today I went to the lab and got my blood tested and it said it was negative. I am showing one two many signs of pregnacy , that I want to go with my gut and say I am, and they are wrong. Has anyone recieved both false and blood test before and still was pregnant? HELP.....

Hey Hun, i am going through the same thing! but did you know there are 2 types of blood test? 1 is like a pee test give a pos or neg and the other 1 is hcg level.. Have you done hcg level? ask the Doctor to do that one and it will come back with your hormone level to show if you are haveing a baby or not! Best of luck!!!!!

I'm going through the same thing right now, and am currently awaiting the results of my blood test. I know how you feel! If you honestly feel that you are pregnant, even with all of the negatives, you can always see your doctor about it. I've been through this before, and ended up getting my period VERY late, most likely due to stress. It can happen. I felt very pregnant at that point too, but I wasn't. Sometimes you just want something so badly that you begin to experience the physical side of it. Also, a lot of pregnancy symptoms can be confused for your actual period coming. Good luck with this! I hope that you get the answers that you need.

Did you just recently (within the past several months) go off the pill? Sometimes that can cause the cycle to be erratic. It's also very possible that your hopes are causing you to exhibit the symptoms, even if you are not pregnant. I know that it may sound silly, but it is something very real that many women go through. It can be very convincing, right down to the missed period, sore breasts, and morning sickness! I think they call it pseudo- pregnancy.
HOWEVER, I will tell you that it is much more likely to have a false negative than it would be to have a false positive!
Try to stay calm, and treat your body as if you are pregnant, just in case! I wish you the best of luck!

What sort of signs of pregnancy do you have? I've never heard of anybody ever getting a negative on a blood test and finding out later that they were actually pregnant. I have heard of false pregnancies (where a woman wants to be pregnant so bad she starts having symptoms) However, if you are pregnant, you'll know soon enough. Just give it a few weeks. I know it's hard to be patient, though. I was there once too.

I agree with the above posts. A false negative on a blood test is very rare. It could be the stress of you thinking about the test etc that is causing the period not to show up. Blood test are pretty accurate.

had the same prob. took a blood test and neg. so I believed that and it was true. I missed my period because I had too much stress. Even though I felt the symptoms of preg. the doctor said sometimes you lead your self to believe it and sure enough he was right.

yes!!!!!!! I kept trying to tell the dr I was pregnant and he said that It was in my mind because i wanted to be. He had to apoligize to me a month later when he went in to do a laprascopy and found I had a tublar pregnancy and was about 4 days from being dead.

Your blood test cannot be false because it actually searches for the hormones that DO exist...instead of a lack of them. Just keep trying....

Wow - not myself.
But you should go to a doctor (not just a lab) and they can do more tests to really finalize the yes or no.

If your blood was negative, then you are not pregnant. sorry hun. Keep trying. It will happen when the time is right.
