Ok, where i live they have set up these academies for the high schools. The academies will start next school year when i am in the 10th grade. Whell the school i am goin to right now is goin to be an enginering academy, and the other academies is the arts and medical. I want to go into the medical field. But my friends are more than likely goin to go to the arts academy. That means i wont get to see my friends. What should i do? I want to mess up my career but i want to be able to be around my friends. Should i pick the arts academy or the medical academy?

This is going to make me sound like the ancient woman I am, but high school is just a short period of the rest of your life. You should pick the high school that will best prepare you for what you want to accomplish in your life.

Friends are great, and keeping friends throughout high school and into adulthood is great, but rare. You can remain friends and go to different schools - but it requires a bit of work.

But I suggest you do what's best for you and what you want to do, not what's best for your friends.

Good luck to you!

If you want to be in the Medical career then you should go. You can actually see your old friends anytime and at the same time make new friends at the academy. Hope you make a good choice.

You will have your career longer than you will have those friends. Go to the one most appropriate for medical.

You can see your friends on the weekends or a mutually selected weeknight.

Good luck!

friends vs.career. today vs. future. hmmmm...

ask yourself this, "am i gonna get what i want in the end?"

how about hanging with your friends afterschool and/or weekends and pursuing your goals during school hours? is that not possible? you make it sound like it's all or nothing. would your "friends" want you to sacrifice your goals for theirs?
