The DSL line I have is acting more like yo yo today.

Yes, throughout the day, the usuage of various users changes. So at 3 in the morning, much less users would be online then a prime time such as 5 which cause congestion, slowing down the network.

If you haven't used it in awhile, that means the virus protection hasn't been updated. You need to update it. Also, it could be the ram. You may have not bought enough ram for the computer. But before jumping in your car to go and buy ram, I have a question for you: do you have a mouse or a touch pad? Sometimes if there's dirt or a hair on the touch pad, it may seem like a program is malfunctioning. But this doesn't explain it if other programs are working correctly. You probably have a virus though, because your virus protection hasn't been updated in a whole month. Good luck!

Yes. We have windstream and during the day it is slower than it would be at night. Cyberspace is less busy during the night beacuse not a lot of users of Broadband and DSL are in action with the internet!

DSL has it's own bandwidth through your phone line so it shouldn't slow down the way cable does.

every day from 4:30-5 it get really slow. then until like 9 it's bad
