I have had tips from jodie kid for this one so here goes
Fist clean your eye lid of mascara and makeup debris- sounds obvious but you'd be suprised...
Then cover in a primer or foundation to give you eyelid and undereye an even tone.
Next put on a sheer, light colour (eg light grey if black smoky eyes, beige if brown smoky eyes.) and brush this all over your eyelid and just underneath your eye, brish a line (not a thin line,) of this colour, you can make this line expand in width. Make sure you put enough on so its heavy.
Change to a darker colour of the same tone (eg darker grey or brown) and brush on the upper eyelid, from the centre of the lid close to the lashes, a thick line, going out to the end of the eyelid (not the socket!) and then around the eye ball on a closed eye (you do this bit with one eye shut), go around the eyeball on the outter side of the eye (not the socket side).
Next come the eyeline. Just paint on a line from jsut after the eye socket (too close and your eyes will water!)to the outside of the eye- on top and bottom lash-lines.
Next use either your CLEAN and DRY finers to smudge the colours together and blend or use a sponge applicator for makeup. (you may need a claer one per eye) be sure to keep the outter side dark, the inner side pale.
For added effect you can dust some highlighting POWDER on your eye socket to brighten your eyes- make sure the tone is the same- gold for brown smoky eyes, silver for black smoky eyes.
Then finish off with lashing os mascara! - again, black goes on black smoky eyes, brown goes on brown smoky eyes.
You may need to dab some makup remover just under your madeup eyes as the particas of colour can fall onto your skin and mess things up. Be careful to dab it away as wiping it will take off your foundation aswell!

There are bizillions of ways to do your eyes. Here are a few:
Gold eyes:
1. Black eyeliner
2. Black mascara
3. Dust on a light shade of gold or yellow to your lids
4.Dust on a darker shade of gold to you lids
5. If you can find it, Dream Matte Mousse Shadow- it's a light goldish white- put some of that on to seal the deal.
6. You're set
Smokey Eyes: (my way)
1. Black or dark blue eyeliner
2. Black mascara
3. Dust a blue on to your lids
4. Dust a darker blue onto your lids, making sure to blend well
5.With a brush or your finger, run your brush or your finger over you lids a couple of times to give them a smokey effect
6. All done.
A Simple Look:
Pretty much all the same steps as with Gold Eyes, just pick colors of your choosing.
Have Fun!

There is no website that will explain it well. You need a makeup artist to demonstrate it...get a lesson. You can have them show you on one eye, then you try it on the other. Make an appointment at a MAC store or counter. If you are completely resistant to paying someone I would recommend a Kevyn Aucoin book. He uses specific directions with great pictures:http://www.kevynaucoin.com/books/?books
His first and second books are the best!

if you're running out of time you could make use of, what i call, the "oooh pretty colours" eyeliner trend. Basically its black eyeliner on the top lashes and some bright, sparkly eyeliner on the bottom & then lashings of mascara. It helps you look spontaneous & daring (apparently). I just think it looks cool and doesn't take a lot of effort.

i usually put concealer over my eyelids (makes the eyeshadow stay on for longer) add black eyeshadow on your eyelids (collection 2000 is good as it's glittery aswell). put the eyeshadow underneath your eye aswell and then join it up to the corner of your eye and your top lash line. then use an eyelash curler. put a bit of translucent powder on your eyelashes and then put on two coats of mascara (the powder helps it to stick).
