I use bare minerals when I wear foundation and I love it. it does work as advertised . And they have a blush called " golden gate" with both pink and apricot undertones that goes with just about any color lipstick you could imagine . it looks taracotta-ish in the pot , but on your skin it looks very sheer and the tone is different depending on the color of your lips. Amazing!
I'm 31 now .I had a makeup artists tell me a HUGE secret that changed my LIFE back at 25. The most importaint thing for makeup to look " glowy" is that the skin beneath be smooth . I also have the most sensitive skin in the universe...seriously. Neutragena's extra mild face lotion burns when I apply it. I can only use Olay sensitive skin..... and even I can tolerate THIS minidermabrasion everyday...for about 6 bucks a MONTH. No joke . here's what she told me :
Take some arm and hammer baking soda ( use the brand name , it just works better) , and mix it with cetaphil extra gentle cleanser:
~ wet your face
~ sprinkle baking soda into your palm. Use a pile the size of a dime for everyday use , use more ( the size of a quarter) if your skin is looking a bit dull , or you feel you need some extra smoothing.
~ add Cetaphil. Squirt enough to make a very loose paste about the consitancy of yogurt. make it a thicker paste for xtra buffing.
~ apply to the face and massage gently for no less than 30 seconds.
~ rinse thoroughly with warm water. Rinse again .
~Pat dry and apply your everyday moisturizer.
Think of how great a salt scrub works on your body...this is a salt polish for your face . It's NOT rough , it doesn't nick , scratch, or tear into the skin. Its just gently removes the top-most layer without damage. Like soft-scrub works for porcelain...nothing harsh.
Within 3 days my skin was smoother , the tone became more even with discolorations fading fast, and my skin had that "glow" you just can't get from cosmetics. After a week it wasn't even like "my" skin. It was like getting a brand new face. I rarely wear an actual foundation anymore... and when I do , its just a light dusting of the bare minerals.
Seriously, I'm passionate about this because it literally changed my skin. I do this everynight when washing to remove make-up . in the mornings , I use the cetaphil cleanser in the , no baking soda, and follow with moisturizer . i rarely use the baking soda in the AM , unless my skin is being poopy.
the bonus ...if it doesnt work you are ONLY out 6 bucks.

I've been using it for a couple of years and I love it. It does cover very well, the concealor brush does a great job covering blemishes. If you apply it correctly, bare minerals gives your skin a look that seems almost airbrushed. It can be tricky to apply, and everyone who says its powdery or cakey probably isn't applying it right. You are probably familiar with the swirl, tap, buff method. Make sure you apply it like it recommends, and I warn you a little goes a long way. I have large pores on my nose and it covers them well, make sure you use both the foundation and the mineral veil ( the mineral veil gives the "airbrush" effect). It is a little pricey, but one jar will last you a long time. I highly recommend you try it, good luck!

I have lot of acne and spots on my face and I hated using other foundations as they are chalky. Bare minerals works perfect. Not only it hides all the blemishes, the skin looks smooth and you can;t even say there is any makeup. Its really light. The skin doesn't flake..
I got it from Sephora, the makeup artist there did a trial on my face to find the perfect match and also to show how to apply it and I love it.. Worth every cent

Yes, it does, I get comments everytime I have it on. I only use the 'foundation' the 'well rested'for eyes and the 'mineral veil". The rest are things I can pick up at Wal Mart. You can do this tho: get on ebay and type in Bare Minerals, you'll get some offers for individual items instead of the whole kit, but then the whole kit does give you the brushes-try Physicians Formula mineral product, it's way cheaper then you'll know if you like it you'll like BM.

I love the new powder foundations like Bare Minerals but you have to make sure you really moisturize underneath. The powder dries my skin terribly so I use the really thick Mary Kay nightime moisterizer to compensate.
