Ginobili! Parker is good, but for how much Ginobili gets hit and pushed and all that it's amazing he is still standing... Ginobili is better at getting fouled while going to the hole, better at hitting shots and better at defense... I believe the only thing he gives up to Parker is passing and speed..... which nobody in the league is as quick as Parker... Okay maybe a couple of people but not too many...

Hmmm, hard to answer that question because both are really talented players and could play at the All-Star level.

I think if you play them one-on-one, Ginobili will win, considering he is taller, can jump higher, and can shoot better.

In the Spurs team, both are equally important. They need Ginobili to come off the bench and give that spark. Both Parker and Ginobili can penetrate defenses easily and both play good basic defense. But when it comes to halfcourt offense, Ginobili wins. BUt in the open court, Parker is nearly unstoppable. And no doubt Parker scores better than Ginobili, because Tony's given more minutes.

One thing that holds Parker back though, is his lack of clutch. He only scores in the first three quarters, and when it comes to the final seconds, he makes bad turnovers and couldn't make shots. Ginobili could take over the whole game in the final minutes, which is a good thing for the Spurs.

But comparing their best playing year (Parker, 2006 - Manu, 2005).. Manu wins. No injuries holding him back, he could score basically everywhere. But for now, Parker's the better man. But Duncan's still the best player and leader in the team.

Oh yeah, Im a Spurs fan, so I know a lil bit.

This is a difficult question to answer, as both players have good qualities and they play differing positions on the same team. How can you say Tony is better if he gets his scores because of Manu and vice versa? Tony is quicker, probably one of the quickest in the league with the basketball in his hands. And Manu? Well he is a tough player who gambles offensively and defensively but often wins when he does. Both can be exciting, but their roles differ, its hard to say. If we were to break them down by position, then Manu would win, because Parker is good, but not considered the best in the league. However, Ginobili is considered to be one of the best, if not the best, sixth man in the league. Still, the two play great roles for their team and both are probably of equal value. Overall, I'd take Manu because he can defend well enough against the best offensive players in the league. He can defend on perimeter and post players but Tony is generally just a perimeter defender. Offensively, Parker gets more easy scores than Manu, because he's so quick. Parker is also continuing to improve on his jumper, which makes him tougher to defend. If I was picking teams, I'd take Manu. Besides all that, he's fun to watch with his creativity and style of play. Either way, the Spurs win right?

I think that Tony Parker is better because he is one of the better point guards in the NBA.Tony Parker has played longer than Manu Ginobili. Plus he has made the Allstar team before and manu hasn't

Tony Parker...by far. He's one of the top seven point guards in the NBA. Manu, might not even be in the top 12 at his position (small forward/shooting guard). He struggled a little last season, and he continues to be a bit inconsistent this season. Tony Parker runs the team. Ginobili, at best, is the third option on San Antonio, and that's even debatable, because Bowen gives an all out defensive effort, consistently, every night.

I think Ginobili is better mainly because he has a more rounded game. While I personally don't like him, Manu has great athleticism and skill to go with a solid basketball IQ and quick hands on defence. He's also a better shooter than Parker, and has solid ball handling skills.

Parker's a great player, and may be more valuable to the team than Ginobili, but if you were picking a player out of these guys in a scrimmage game, you'd go with Ginobili.

Parker is a better player, especially this year. He is more consistant and have a very good field goal percentage.
Both are able to finish to the basket but Parker is much better as his total points in the paint can proove. Ginobili is a great player but he does not seem to step up as much this year. He can certainly take a game over as he has done in the past but for now I would rather have Parker have the ball in the clutch.
I have to say that Ginobili is maybe more entertaining as he seems reckless going to the hoop.

I would say Tony Parker. It takes a real player to nab a gal like Eva Longoria. We are talking who got more game with the ladies, right.
Oh, my bad. Manu is a better BASKETBALL player. Tony kills him though with the ladies.

Hands down Manu Ginobilli..

He has a 3 pt shot, can penetrate and glide as much as parker can and can even fish for a foul. He has defense through some quick hands and flopping (yeah). And he is clutch unlike parker..

Plus he has an olympic gold medal, world championship and an NBA championship. Hard to trump that even with an Eva Longoria trophy..
