I know this is upsetting you, but there is really nothing you can do about it. Alex has his own Life to Live and his Sexual preferences are his own. Continue to Love him and treat him kindly, and Live your Life.. Do Not pass Judgement on Alex, it will come back to bite you in the A**.

You should help him meet a really cool guy, and let him talk to you about how it's going! If your not willing to do that, you should just say goodbye now-- because your friendship with him is dead.

Accept him for who he is, he is still the same person. The fact that he likes guys rather than girls should not matter to you.

Love him for who he is.. He is still family and being gay should not change things. Just try and support him and he will feel alright with who he is..

I think it is important for you to support him. Let him know that although you may have issues with his sexuality that you love him no matter what is sexuality is. SUPPORT HIM...that is all you need to do!
