I, for example, tend to stop eating and read more books than usual (escapism). What do you do?

I also tend to stop eating when I am unhappy. Food becomes a mere passing thought and I have to think 'I'd better have something to eat else I'm gonna be ill'.

I sometimes get angry with people and short of patience and snappy. I guess I want to share my poisons!

And nothing get's done that needs to be done. I could never say 'Do a budget' or write and important letter when unhappy. I can't seem to concentrate properly...

Withdraw into my own self. Brood for a couple of days and then confront the problem (read offender) face to face and in all honesty with no malice, sarcasm or anger. Total honesty. The problem is not always solved so easily, as the other person often does not have the honesty to be open and goes home bearing grudges or malice. Shame on them, I get everything off my chest. (Actually I am very popular and many people like me, in spite of my honesty). At least everyone knows exactly where they stand with me.

I think about what's making me unhappy and try to sort it, if I can't then I move on and learn from it. Happiness or unhappiness is just a state of mind and you are the only thinker in your mind so you got yourself there you can get yourself out.
I tend to visit friends alot, it takes the pressure off my problems focusing on others'.

I feel less inclined to make the effort to do anything other than sit around on my ****. Physically, it's a like having a hand gently squeezing inside the middle of my chest.

I eat more rubbish and have more baths.
