I'd run a shotgun running play so when he puts on quarter you can walk right through that empty line

If he likes to use Jermey Stevens on that type of route DO NOT use the cover 2 defense.Between the Saftey and Cornerback the cover 2 is weak.If he passes that much try using the 3-4,that will give you more defensive backs but make sure you have a decent 3 man rush before you do that. With curls make a linebacker go to zone defense and have him cover near the line of scrmminge, any arul will result in
A.Miricale Catch
B.Dropped interception
C. An interception
If you think he will run blitz the 2 OLB outside and the MLB up the middle with the SS guarding.

Well..if he's doing a lot of short passes...send a linebacker into a zone in the flats to stop Alexander first (or if you play as Carolina...send Julius Peppers) Then I'd probably play zone with with my outside line backers and leave the middle line backer to watch for the run...CBs and Safeties might be better off switching from zone to man-to-man to throw him off a bit...maybe a ballsy safety blitz is in order.
To beat a 4-3 defense...I just don't run the ball much....I play as Carolina...who has two great talents are RB that can catch out of the back field or in the flats and then just take off...then throw in a few runs (rarely straight up the gut..but sometimes you have to try). Eh....good luck though...Seahawks have a brutal defense.

Step 1. Be the Colts.
Step 2. Play a Dime defense - man coverage. Force him to run the ball. Use the DE and blitz, let the computer do the coverage. (Play in All-Madden mode and it will do better & make it harder for him)
Step 3. Set your audibles the way you want them and learn them by heart... then always run a shotgun offense (all audibles must come from shotgun also) and play a hurry-up offense, audible out of it. He will be stuck in his defense.
Step 4 (if all else fails). Get on by yourself sometime and trade all the Seahawks players for the Lions.

Play a lot of zone with blitzing.
on defence against the 4-3 it doesnt really have any weakness, but i would stay in a lot of reciever sets with 3 or more and pass a lot. Against the quarter run the ball unless its 7 or more yards then pass it.

Defence is the key, and practice. Beat the computer on All Madden level and you will do fine no matter what team you play with. I mean I have won with San Francisco on my game. But if he uses the Seahawks, play with the Ravens or Bears. Get short first downs and he can't have the ball for very long. TE is key with those teams though. It won't hurt that you have Muhammed on Chicago.

Blitz. Make sure you have a great pass rush. dont let hasselbeck just sit their. Some defensive assighments wont hurt.
If he likes to play quater set up some short passes and try to make some moves on the defender. Some truck sticking and jukes might help you. In running situations hit him with the play action instead and try to beat them deep.
hope i helped

offense: pound it down his throat do it on passing downs too esp. b/c he will be in the quarter, then later you just lob it up over his head YeaUH YeaUH
defense: play in the quarter use the
?QB spy?- it has a blitzing FS sitting up w/ the linebacker - everyone in man except the blitzing FS and the Two deep safetys - put the linebacker in coverage where the tightend would be or play with him. if you can put the mlb in coverage than just blitz away -- Thats how I be BALLIN' dawg-- tell me how it works out, son
PS use the Pack YeaUH YeaUH

You should choose cover 3 and have both safeties over top. playmaker both defensive ends to the flats, meaning you only gonna be rushin to d-lineman's unless you blitz the one linebacker. make the defensive tackle play against the tackle instead of the guard.
