Housing benefit can only be paid to those whose absence from home will be 13 weeks or less.

This also means that those who are given a six month sentence or less may be eligible for housing benefit because they will only serve half their sentence. Those who are sentenced for up to a year may also be eligible (as with HDC they may serve 13 weeks) but but this is at the discretion of the social security office.

Those remanded in custody awaiting trial or required to live in a bail hostel are entitled to housing benefit for up to 52 weeks.

Your question was difficult to read because of the u instead of you but no I would say you do not get housing benefits in prison.
You are already free housing by being there.

You get everything paid for you when you are in prison (free meals, free board, free hot water) and then when you get out you get rehoused and given a community care grant to redecorate etc so dont worry about not paying the rent after you get imprisoned for comminting a crime - you will get plenty of rewards when you get out. Same as everything badness gets rewarded.
